Annual Re-unions
The Association meets annually for a re-union dinner at the Victory Services Club, Seymour Street (www.vsc.co.uk) London on the first Saturday in September.
The 2011 reunion was held on Saturday the 3rd September with approximately 42 members and their guests in attendance. A great time was had by all who attended, with the star prize in the raffle being a pewter No 4T Rifle. Our President, Eric Stratford, told us of the demise of the Old Grey Horse Club (for retired senior ranks of REME), and of the impending closure of the REME Museum and its move to an aircraft hangar at RAF Lyneham. (Not good News). Our Chairman, Andrew Briscoe, regaled us with tales of his part in the downfall of Col. Ghadafi and the inept response by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
